Charlie, Geralyn and their sons, Ryan and Kyle, are avid modelers. Charlie is a life-long free flight modeler with over 40 years of competing in club, local, national and international contests. He has flown all the disciplines of free flight (power, glider, and rubber). In addition Charlie has managed a number of contests over the past 15 years. Both Charlie and Geralyn have been active in promoting the free flight sport, especially through supporting the Junior Outdoor FAI team.
Charlie, Ryan and Kyle have all represented the USA team in several World Championships. Kyle is a Silver and Gold team medalist, Charlie has won the bronze in the individual 2009 Croatia World Championships and was the Team Manager for the 2013 USA Team that won the French Challenge Cup and gold medal for the F1B team and bronze medals for the F1C team and individual in F1B (Brian Pacelli).
Geralyn has been a long time supporter in free flight. Professionally she has served in various management capacities in manufacturing, accounting, clinical event planning and is knowledgeable in webpage design and development. She is also active in many community fund raising events. She and Charlie head up fund raising for the U.S. Junior Free Flight Team. She also competes in the F1G event.
Charlie is a Project Executive and Consulting professional with IBM’s Managed Business Process Services (MBPS) with over twenty-six years of experience in managing outsourced environments, application development, and consulting in manufacturing, engineering, and human resources industries.
